Project Overview

This wrap-around extension in Crouch End combined a side-return infill with a 4m rear extension to create a dramatic 45sqm open-plan kitchen-living space. The design features a partially vaulted ceiling with exposed timber rafters over the dining zone, creating a sense of volume and character. Three-panel aluminium sliding doors span the full width of the rear elevation, retracting completely to merge indoor and outdoor living. The kitchen was designed as a u-shaped layout with a large island, with all appliances integrated behind handleless matt grey cabinetry. Herringbone-pattern engineered oak flooring runs throughout, connecting visually with the external porcelain patio tiles.
